Mount Wellington
Tour duration approximately 2 and a half hours.
After passing through South Hobart, past the historic Cascade Brewery (Australia's oldest) and past the beautiful town of Fern Tree, we begin to drive up the slopes of this spectacular peak. As we ascend you will gain sweeping views over Hobart and its suburbs, until at the summit itself you will see one of the most spectacular views you will ever see! The summit is 1270 metres above sea level, enabling views over much of the state, yet we are only half an hour's drive from the city centre. Sometimes in winter the mountain is covered by snow, making it impossible to drive to the peak, but the tour is possible (weather permitting) throughout most of the year.
